This female pheasant was released last fall for hunting season, by the local gun club. She has somehow survived the winter so far. She seams to notice when my chickens are out and she tries to mingle. 'Big mama" (an Australorp) tries to chase her away when I scatter oats or corn for them to scratch. I hope to see her again, soon. Beauty finds a way to survive. Mother nature helps her to find her instincts to survive, even though she was raised in captivity. Maybe she'll bring a family to visit in the spring. I saw a male not too long ago, as well. Roll on spring.
